Even when you add these big, heavily armed organics into the mix, Roger is still the one saving the day. Also, a visual detail here: Jones isn’t actually “speaking” with his mouth, as his species is incapable of forming human words with their particular set of pipes. His thoughts are translated to speech and delivered through the voice chip on the side of his head (seen most prominently in the second to last panel).
