Strip 42: Echoes

Just like Sobek, Kakari has so much left to her story, and it always hurts to kill off a character, no matter who they are. Nevertheless, I feel like it’s necessary, both logically and thematically, to accept that no one is safe, no one is immortal. Dy-Gar is already making the connection in his head between Kakari and Treya Malik - both showed him affection and respect, both were selfless and brave, both were physically vulnerable. Both were put into situations where they logically would not survive. How Dy-Gar processes this information will prove crucial to whether he can grow into a more complete thinking entity, or whether he will backslide into bloodthirsty mania.
